Does It Really Matter...

- I didn't eat any meat today.
- Worked on making some non slip bands tonight...again addicted. Excited to have additional colors.
- Easter is being marketed like Christmas. Annoying.
- I don't care for the word bestie. It's almost up there with hubby. Barf!! However, my new term is lovation. Urban Dictionary that sh!t to understand.
- I'm not minding the cooler weather since the a/c in the van is not that great. Dread taking it in to be fixed.
- Got a pretty good box/bottle tan going. I love having healthy color.
- Sleepy. Evening naps have been swapped with exercise. But I sleep much better at night. Woop!
- When cooking dinner you must turn on the stove for anything to happen. 5+ mins later...

It's the little things that matter...or do they?!?!

You know the saying "It's the little things that count/matter" or "it's the little things in life"? Whenever I heard that I would think to myself, "yea whatever."  So this morning when the scale was up .8 lbs from my lowest since owning this scale it was a small victory and that saying came to mind.  But you're thinking "Calista, you said the scale was up?"  Yes it was but usually on a Monday it is up 3-4 lbs from my lowest.  So I count this as a victory especially after indulging on fried pickles, wings and beer on Saturday.  Oh and that buffalo mac and cheese (but it was sans bacon and bread crumbs and made with whole grain pasta).  I think the mall walking off set the bad eating or it was the endorphins from finding some cute wedges and a skirt and stumbling on a Main Event grand opening where everything was freeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

It also helped when my BFF and her husband "lost" me at Main Event, I was standing right in front of them.  They just didn't recognize me from behind.  However, it made me think that I had a sign on my butt before.

It's all happening in baby steps and I enjoy going to the gym.  Still not a crazy though.  But there were times last week that I thought "this really sucks," "why can't I go back to my early twentys when I didn't have to worry about my weight," "is the scale ever going to move past the same points" etc But then I remember that there is Cabo in 2 1/2 months and I want to be comfortable in a bathing suit, cute dresses, oh and if we stumble upon a nude beach.  I kid. I kid.  Kinda. And then there is life in general....so I will keep on keeping on.

Make it a great day, week or not...the choice is yours.

Does It Really Matter...

- I don't know if I'm more excited for my hair appointment, lunch at Mellow Mushroom or Will Hoge concert tomorrow.
- I felt like a kid at airobics (aerobics on trampoline) but such a good workout. Can't wait to go back.
- I think I have a new obsession with Brady Bands after first order. Ordered two for myself and now I'm going to make my own instead of ordering. Found such cute ribbon today. Eek
- I don't feel like I can write a DIRM post if I don't have at least 3 bullet points
- I ate only baked beans for dinner. Someone may be gassy tomorrow.

Scentsy and scentsy wannabes

Nothing makes me happier...ok some things do...but I enjoy walking into our apartment and being hit by a lovely fragrance. We have 4 wax warmers in our 2 bedroom apartment.

Tennessee, star and brown - actual Scentsy, Green - WalMart Better Homes and Gardens

A bit much maybe but eh... I usually have 3 of them the same fragrance or that's the goal. The one in the living room, my bathroom, and second bedroom/office are usually the same scent and a clean fresh one. In J's bathroom which is connected to our bedroom, I usually have a lavender scent because it is good for restlessness and insomnia. However, we don't have either of those but anything to enhance sleepy time is good by me. Today, I ran into Wal-Mart on the way home and picked up some new scents. I will buy actual Scentsy wax from time to time but Wal-Mart is convenient and cheaper. I found some new smells that I really liked.

Tranquil Garden Spa reminds me of the few times I've gotten a massage. I put that one in my bathroom. Tropical Plumeria Petals may be too girls for J but its not overly flowery and nice and spring like. I put that in my office and living room. Warm Rustic Woods is very masculine and perfect for J's bathroom. I have a nice stock for awhile and had a smile on my face when I walked in from the gym this evening cause it smelt amazing.
