I wanted to add yellow to the invitation suite and so my obsession with envelope liners began. I couldn't find the right paper or the paper that wasn't going to make my invitations the most expensive part of the wedding. Then a long lost Christmas diy idea for wrapping paper came to me and I knew that's what I was going to do. Found the perfect stamp that was very similar to the fabric that will be on the table, pastel yellow ink, cardstock and the crafting project began. A couple hours and glasses of wine later I had all the envelopes lined and exactly what I had imagined in my head had become a reality. I think they turned out simply awesome and yet another diy project in the books.
The invitations have been in the works for a long time and finally the mock up is complete. And I love it!!! My older sister, Season, designed the monogram and the unique touch makes it very personal and even more special. I think they convey the feel of how the wedding will be... personal, rustic elegance and fun.
We are 6 months away from the day. Met with Kathy from Las Brisas Farm today and got so many more ideas as well more concrete details of things that they already have at the farm. I was able to check a few items off my long to do list. I definitely wanted something lining the aisle and we can use the candle holders already at the farm. Going with the flameless candles so I don't have to worry about them going out half way through the event. And best of all I met our bartender. What a great guy!!! I'm so excited for the day to come but will be sad when it's all over.
